Velmont is a brand of Torrnado LLC. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this website or buy from it, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to sell and deliver your watch, and we do not sell your data.

Who we are

This website (velmont.torrnado.uk) is operated by Torrnado LLC, a Missouri limited liability company, 117 S Lexington Street Ste 100, Harrisonville, MO 64701, US. Torrnado LLC is the data controller for this website and for orders placed through it.

For privacy questions, write to privacy@torrnado.uk.

What we collect

You give usName, email, telephone, shipping address, and anything you write in a message to us.
Your orderWhich watch, size and strap options you chose, order value, delivery method, and the correspondence around it.
PaymentNever entered on this site. We receive only the record of your payment: for a bank transfer, the sending name, bank and reference; for a card, a confirmation and limited details such as the card brand and last four digits — never the full card number or CVC.
Your deviceIP address, browser and device type, and the pages requested, as recorded in our server logs.
Stored locallyYour cart is kept in your own browser's local storage. It does not reach our servers until you place the order.

Why we use it

  • To process and deliver your order. Performance of the contract between us — without this there is no order.
  • To answer you. Our legitimate interest in providing customer support, and in handling returns and refunds.
  • To prevent fraud and keep the site secure. Our legitimate interest in protecting customers and the business.
  • To meet tax, accounting and customs law. A legal obligation, and the reason order records are kept for several years.

We do not send marketing email, we do not profile you, and no decision about your order is made by an automated system alone, other than the fraud checks a card payment provider may run.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to run the shop and get a watch to your door: our bank and card payment provider, our hosting provider, our shipping carriers and customs brokers, and the provider that sends our email. They may use your data only to provide their service to us.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, or for cross-context behavioural advertising. We will disclose it to an authority only where the law requires us to, and we may transfer it to a successor in a merger or sale of the business, under the same protections.

Payments

No payment is taken on this site. After you order, we email you an invoice that you can pay by bank transfer, credit card, or another manual transfer method. Card payments are handled by a secure payment provider, so your card details go to them and not to us. We keep only the payment records needed for order history, accounting, tax, and refunds.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party tracking or analytics. What we use is strictly necessary:

  • Session and security cookies. A session identifier and a cross-site request forgery token, so that checkout works safely.
  • Local storage. Your cart, kept in your browser.

These cannot be turned off without breaking the shop. Clearing your browser storage removes them, including your cart. If you pay an invoice by card, the payment provider's page may set its own cookies for fraud prevention.

How long we keep it

Orders and invoicesAs long as tax and accounting law requires, generally up to seven years.
Messages to usTwo years from your last message.
Server logsNinety days.

When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, our legal bases for processing are those listed under “Why we use it”, and you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or to the data protection authority where you live. If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law, such as California, you have similar rights to know, access, correct and delete your personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for using them.

Write to privacy@torrnado.uk and we will respond within one month, free of charge. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Security

The site is served over TLS, card details are never entered on it, and access to order records is limited to the people who need it to fulfil and support orders. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but if a breach puts your data at risk we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

International transfers

Torrnado LLC is based in the United States, so your data is processed there and wherever our service providers operate. Where we transfer personal data out of the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or an adequacy decision where one applies.

Children

This shop is not intended for anyone under eighteen and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
